Finance Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Finance Administrator provides day-to-day transactional and administrative support to the Finance team, with a focus on capital expenditure processing, accounts receivable monitoring, month-end journals and account reconciliations. The role is process-driven, ensuring financial records are accurate and delivered to deadline and that internal controls and approval requirements are consistently applied.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Capital expenditure (CAPEX)

• Review CAPEX requests submitted by the business for completeness and compliance, and obtain

required approver sign-off.

• Check requests against approved budget and escalate variances or exceptions.

• Maintain asset registers and related systems, processing additions, transfers and disposals.

• Prepare end-of-month CAPEX journals and reconciliations.

 

Accounts receivable

• Complete weekly reviews of accounts receivable balances and ageing.

• Prepare AR status reporting and distribute to the business for review and follow-up.

 

Month-end and journals

• Prepare and post month-end journals

• Complete reconciliations for allocated balance sheet accounts, investigating and clearing variances.

• Support credit card, FBT and general accounting accrual processing as directed.

 

General finance administration

• Maintain lease records in the lease management system, including new lease set-up and amendments.

• Respond to queries from the business and internal stakeholders, and maintain process documentation

for allocated tasks.

• Assist with audit requests, ad hoc reporting and continuous improvement of finance processes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years' experience in a finance administration, accounts or assistant accountant role.

• Working knowledge of journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Sound Excel skills

• High accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet recurring month-end deadlines.

• Discretion with confidential financial information and a sound understanding of approval and control

requirements.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related course. CPA is desirable
